The Thirsty Nickel is one of the biggest spaces located on the 50 yard line of world famous 6th street in downtown Austin. We are a 2 level venue with 4 separate bars / rooms including private restrooms and entrances for each level. We have a capacity that can hold up to 600 people, and we are fully equipped to host parties anywhere from 6 - 600 people.

There is honestly no party too big or small!

Each level of The Thirsty Nickel has its own stage / dance floor, and each room is set up to have a separate musical source if needed. Our staff are highly trained, TABC certified, professionals. The Thirsty Nickel's service is second to none!  Some of the previous events we have hosted range from The Governor of Texas Salute to Music to wedding receptions, all the way to 21st birthdays and Bachelor / Bachelorette parties. We are proud to say we have a very extensive party portfolio and are able to supply reference letters upon request.
